Protests Erupt Over Alleged Abuse at School

The Secretary of Education reiterates its commitment to safeguarding the physical and psychological integrity of the educational community, responding immediately to reports. After a suspected sexual abuse was reported at a primary school in Ciénega de Flores, the principal was removed from her position for alleged cover-up, being replaced by the area supervisor until the situation is clarified.

During a protest outside the educational institution, the principal had to be escorted due to police intervention to contain parents demanding to speak with her. One of the parents, Fátima Herrera, questioned how the principal denied the possibility of viewing visual evidence, such as a video showing her daughter leaving the class frightened, followed by the teacher in question, Emmanuel Treviño.

Educational authorities have taken immediate measures, prioritizing legal guidance and psychological support for the affected families and the educational community in general. The Nuevo León Attorney General's Office is investigating the case.

The mother of the minor, Fátima Herrera, was informed by the school about her daughter's discomfort, who arrived at her business and told her that four children had touched parts of her body. The mother went to the Francisco Javier Garza Leal primary school to demand answers and clarify the situation.
